What a magical day and story. We had the pleasure of designing custom gifts for a beautiful wedding located in Northern Sweden. Vanessa Therese Wintervy (Tessa), Travel and Lifestyle Writer, connected via Instagram on designing custom bridal gifts. It was our first international wedding and we couldn't miss the opportunity to be a part of this couple's special day.
Tessa and Johan's Story:Johan and Tessa have known each other since they were 13 years old, attending the same school and falling in love young. Tessa moved to attend a new school when she was 16 and they lost touch.
After reconnecting when she was 21, (bumping into each other at a bbq), they have been inseparable.
Johan and Tessa moved to Los Angeles for an extended period of time and then moved back to Sweden to be closer to family. They both are passionate about traveling and continually travel back and forth to the states.
Their Special Day:They hosted an intimate gathering around 35-40 guests including close friends and family. They were married right outside their hometown in Torne Valley in northern Sweden, right on the Arctic Circle.
The theme for the wedding day was designed to bring Torne Valley and the California Desert (Joshua Tree) together, with a modern bohemian vibe.
The ceremony took place on a mountain with amazing views over pine trees, the river and views of Finland on the other side of the water. The mountain had a lovely restaurant, a sleek and modern glass box, so you have views from every seat inside. The midnight sun and weather were perfect – 24-hour daylight, shining through the night. Simply, magical! Tessa and Johan, thanks for having us a part of your special day! Photo credit to Viktoria Wigenstam
